MIKE TRAPP RIDE IS ON!

WE ARE GOOD TO GO FOR THE RIDE WITH MIKE TRAPP

T-3 weeks, all systems go. The Ride with Mike Trapp ride Itinerary essentially remains the same. Thursday night you may tour the Snowmobile Hall of Fame. Early Friday morning we’ll meet at the hall at 7:30 a.m. to register, enjoy your breakfast sandwich & beverages plus pick your goodie bag full of unique ride souvenirs.

We will hit the trails promptly at 9:00. We will have two groups of fifty. One group will follow our route clockwise and the other group will be headed counter clockwise. We will further break the groups fifty down further into subgroups of ten and launch the sub groups in flights. We plan to mark the route plus we will have it plotted in the Ride Command app (which you will be able to download onto your smart phone).

Both groups will reconnect and meet up for lunch at the Trapp Race Shop in Arbor Vitae. We have a very special trailside bonfire barbeque lunch catered by the owner of TJ’s Butcher Block, Tim Krolczyk. After our trail side lunch, you will resume your ride and eventually head our way back to the Snowmobile Hall of Fame.

Let’s plan to be back by to the hall by 4:00 p.m. The optional Friday Night Fish Fry had to be cancelled thus this will conclude our ride. It was in the best interests of this group not to gather indoors in a large banquet hall. However, you may still go to the Whitetail Inn to enjoy a Friday Fish Fry on your own.

We will be doing everything possible to comply with covid guidelines. First of all, our activities will be predominantly outside. Most everyone will already be wearing their face masks (e.g., balaclavas) under full-face helmets with full-face shields. Plus, we will naturally be social distanced well beyond six feet while riding.

Your gift bag will have a complimentary face mask which you should carry with you to use whenever you’re off your sled (or wear your balaclava). We will streamline the registration process to minimize the amount of time inside the hall of fame. And the hall will be sanitized before and between each time we are there.

We will also streamline the process for lunch. We will create a comfortable and safe serving line and eating areas at the race shop. We will have a large open-air tent erected outside plus two porta potties. We will have a bonfire and heaters in the tent to keep you warm. We encourage everyone to remain outside as much as possible.
