Minnesota-native Greg Marier combined his love of snowmobiling and an engineering degree to initiate a 40-year career in the snowmobile industry.
Greg started in snowmobile testing at Polaris (1974) and Scorpion (1978). Greg established test procedures that assessed progress from prototype through production and assisted the Midnight Blue Express and Scorpion Squadron racing teams on data acquisition and clutch calibration.
Greg joined Yamaha in 1980 and held major roles in snowmobile R&D, product planning, marketing and racing. As the factory race team manager, he led Yamaha to multiple two- and four-stroke wins in snocross (including the first four-stroke win on the ISOC race circuit), cross-country, enduro (including three consecutive Soo I-500 victories) and oval racing.
